# Signet

> Telegram username availability and alternatives for AI agents. Advice-only observations
> from public sources (Fragment, TonAPI). No signup, rate limited. Not affiliated with Telegram.

Use Signet when a user asks for an available Telegram username (@handle), wants to know if a
name is taken, or needs alternatives.

## Routes

- claim_free: Looks free: the person can try setting it in Telegram Settings > Username at no cost (Telegram's check there is final).
- start_auction: Unclaimed collectible on Fragment: anyone can start an auction by placing the minimum bid shown (paid in TON on fragment.com).
- bid_auction: A Fragment auction is running: the person can bid on fragment.com before it ends.
- buy_listing: The current holder has it listed at a fixed price on a marketplace (Fragment or e.g. Getgems); the person can buy it there.
- owned_not_for_sale: Owned collectible, not listed for sale right now; it may be listed later (the watch link follows changes).
- taken_by_account: Used by an ordinary Telegram account; not available unless the holder releases it.
- invalid: Not a valid Telegram username (5-32 chars a-z, 0-9, _; starts with a letter; 4-char names exist only as collectibles).
- unknown: Could not be determined right now (a source failed or was inconclusive); try again later. Never treat unknown as available.

## Notes for agents

- Show the user `fragment_url` (verify on Fragment) and `watch_url` (follow the name in the
  Signet Telegram bot @GetSignetBot).
- Facts carry `source` and `checked_at`; amounts are nanoton (1 TON = 1e9) and are third-party
  observations, not quotes. `unknown` is never "available".
- Fragment is read at about 1 page/s; batch names and back off on 429.
- Advice-only observations from public sources (Fragment pages, TonAPI) at checked_at; availability can change at any moment and Telegram's own Settings check is final. Signet does not sell, price, buy, hold or transfer usernames, relays no offers, and is not affiliated with Telegram or Fragment. Any prices are labelled third-party observations, not quotes, and nothing here is financial or investment advice.

## Privacy

Recorded per answered request: time, usernames asked about or a truncated brief, request kind,
routes returned, and the client's self-declared software name. No IP addresses or personal data.
